YOUTH FIRST COMMUNITY OF PROMISE

Youth First Community of Promise is a community-based youth development nonprofit serving middle and high school students in the northwestern Anoka County area (including Andover, Anoka, Coon Rapids and Ramsey). It delivers out-of-school-time programming, academic support, summer enrichment at a youth center, and targeted activities built around a Five Promises framework. All programs are organized around the Five Promises (Caring Adults; Safe Places; A Healthy Start; Effective Education; Opportunities to Help Others) and prioritize underserved and at‑risk youth by providing safe spaces, mentoring, homework help, field trips and basic‑needs supports. The organization operates in partnership with local governments and schools and has maintained regular program delivery and charitable fundraising activity in recent years. Youth First remains an active donor-facing charity with current Form 990 filings; recent financials show the organization operating with roughly quarter-million-dollar annual revenues and continuing program operations through the 2021–2023 period, while working closely with the Anoka‑Hennepin School District and local community consortiums to expand access.
