About HEADWATERS RELIEF ORGANIZATION INCORPORATED

Headwaters Relief Organization is a volunteer-driven disaster relief charity that grew out of grassroots response work after Hurricane Katrina and received tax-exempt status in 2008. The organization is based in Golden Valley, Minnesota and operates domestically and internationally.

Headwaters deploys volunteer teams to provide disaster debris cleanup, rebuilding, public health, medical clinics, and psychosocial support. It also runs longer-term community programs such as child sponsorships in Haiti and the River of Hope mental health resource work in New Orleans, and publishes annual reports and newsletters documenting its activities.
