About Project Bike Tech

Project Bike Tech delivers a turnkey, credited high‑school elective—Bike Tech in School—that uses bicycle mechanics as a lab to teach STEM, Common Core concepts, career‑readiness skills, and workforce pathways.

Founded from a grassroots program in Santa Cruz and now headquartered in Colorado, PBT supports classroom setup, curriculum, teacher training and industry partnerships and has reached several thousand students while expanding into multiple U.S. states over the last decade.

PBT positions bicycles as a tool for experiential learning, workforce development, and community sustainability, and provides schools with workbenches, tools, bikes, curriculum modules and ongoing teacher support.
