SAINT PAUL PARKS AND RECREATION CONSERVANCY (doing business as Saint Paul Parks Conservancy)

The Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Conservancy (doing business as Saint Paul Parks Conservancy) is a city-wide nonprofit partner that raises funds, coordinates partners, and provides fiscal sponsorship to support Saint Paul’s parks, recreation facilities, and related programs. Founded in 2008 with seed support to catalyze private giving, the Conservancy focuses on equitable access, capital improvements, environmental stewardship, and community-driven park projects across Saint Paul’s roughly 5,000 acres of parkland.

The organization works closely with the City of Saint Paul’s Department of Parks and Recreation to identify high-impact projects that are ready to implement, leverage additional funding, and prioritize underserved neighborhoods. Recent Conservancy initiatives include Equal Play investments (playgrounds, courts, fields, and youth programs), the Great River Passage initiative to increase access to the Mississippi River, and targeted preservation and cultural-site projects in neighborhood parks.
