About 50 IN 52 JOURNEY, INC.
50 IN 52 Journey began as a year‑long, 50‑states storytelling project that documented community problem‑solvers and has continued as a nonprofit program (now operating through the Journey Institute) that produces storytelling, workshops, TEDx curation and publishing to elevate underserved voices.
The organization completed its original 50‑state tour in 2009 (500+ people interviewed and hundreds of short videos produced) and in recent years has focused on curated events, workshops and publishing initiatives tied to the Journey’s mission; it filed Form 990‑EZ filings through 2023 and received foundation support in 2023 for local TEDx programming.
In 2024 the organization announced a pause to curating TEDx events after a long run of local TEDx Women and youth programs, while retaining its storytelling, publishing and workshop work under the Journey Institute umbrella.

Completed 50‑state journey
Executed a year‑long 50 states / 52 weeks project (2009) documenting ~500 people and producing hundreds of videos and blog profiles that attracted national media attention.
Published book
Author/president published a memoir and reflection on the journey (It Takes a Little Crazy to Make a Difference) that extended the project’s reach beyond the website and videos.

Curated Colorado TEDx Women and youth events for more than a decade (TEDx Cherry Creek / TEDxCrestmoorPark), producing a library of recorded talks and community programs through 2023.
