About INNOVATE+EDUCATE
Innovate+Educate (I+E) is a Santa Fe–based, registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 26-3205739) that advances competency- and skills-based hiring, training, and advancement strategies to expand equitable pathways to employment.
The organization operates a mix of employer-led initiatives, direct training programs (notably the Pro Skills curriculum), research/publications, and regional projects that connect learners to in-demand jobs and employer partners.
In the last 2–3 years I+E has focused locally in Northern New Mexico on youth and reentry cohorts while continuing national advocacy and employer partnerships that promote skills-based hiring and assessments.
Notable achievements
Pro Skills program scale-up
Expanded the Pro Skills curriculum across Northern New Mexico to place graduates into internships, interviews, and full-time roles with local employers.
Reentry culinary training launch (2024)
Partnered on the Entrepreneurial Institute of Northern New Mexico reentry culinary program (launched to cohorts in 2024), providing hands-on training and employer hiring commitments for program completers.
National employer partnerships
Led and influenced employer-led competency initiatives and councils, collaborating with national and regional employers to pilot skills-based hiring and assessment solutions.
