Mission

Partners in Literacy is dedicated to creating communities of readers in schools by coaching volunteers to meet their reading 'buddies' where they are and by supplying curated books and support that boost school reading cultures.

About PARTNERS IN LITERACY

Partners in Literacy is a Colorado-based grassroots 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 26-3585314) incorporated in 2011 that coordinates trained volunteers to read one-on-one or in small groups with students, primarily in kindergarten through eighth grade.

In addition to its Reading Buddy program, the organization stewards the Colorado Blue Spruce Young Adult Book Award (reimagined under Partners in Literacy), runs volunteer training (including remote-ready approaches developed during 2020), and partners with schools and libraries to strengthen classroom and library collections.
