About YOUTH EQUIPPED TO SUCCEED

This profile is for Youth Equipped to Succeed (YES), a 501(c)(3) youth development nonprofit based in Dallas, Texas (EIN 27-0005595). The EIN and tax-exempt status were confirmed through nonprofit filings and public nonprofit registries. YES delivers K–12-focused programs — Motivational Experiences (assemblies), Wellness Education, and Peer-to-Peer Mentoring — designed to build connection, resilience, and healthy decision-making among students, parents, and educators. In recent years YES has expanded statewide reach and organizational capacity: the 2023–24 school year saw six-figure student reach and the organization implemented a board-approved leadership succession plan in 2026 to ensure continuity and growth.

Notable achievements

Large-scale school reach (2023–24)

During the 2023–24 school year YES reported reaching over 240,000 K–12 students and more than 16,000 parents and educators through nearly 1,900 programs across hundreds of campuses, with a majority of served schools designated Title I.

Organizational growth and merger

Under founder leadership the organization expanded its staff and budget and completed a strategic merger (with Aim for Success in 2019) that broadened program offerings and geographic reach.

Planned leadership succession (2026)

In March 2026 the board announced a deliberate three-year leadership transition and named a new Executive Director to lead daily operations, demonstrating governance planning for long-term stability.
