About Ray of Hope Cancer Foundation (formerly Raymond Wentz Foundation)

Founded in 2002 by oncologist Dr. David Schrier in memory of his patient Ray Wentz, Ray of Hope provides unrestricted financial grants and supportive services to Colorado cancer patients facing acute financial hardship.

The foundation pairs direct, patient-directed cash assistance with facilitated access to mental-health counseling and peer support; in recent years it has expanded capacity and increased monthly grant volume to reach thousands of Coloradans in treatment.
