About MIDAMERICA BOSTON TERRIER RESCUE
MidAmerica Boston Terrier Rescue (MABTR) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) foster-based rescue founded in 2005 that serves a multi-state region in the central and mountain U.S. and provides medical care, behavioral assessment and microchipping prior to adoption.
The organization is donation-funded and operates programs to rehabilitate neglected or medically needy Bostons, rehome them through screened adoptions, and support adopters and fosters with education and resources.
In the last 2–3 years MABTR has continued large-scale intake and placement activity, operated recurring fundraisers (food drives, raffles) and in November 2025 celebrated its 20th anniversary while reporting more than 5,500 dogs rescued since inception.

Recent grant and fundraising activity
In the last 2–3 years the rescue has continued active fundraising and received philanthropic support and grants to cover veterinary and transport costs, and ran anniversary fundraising campaigns to support medical care.
