About PROSPECT SILICON VALLEY

Prospect Silicon Valley is a San Francisco–based 501(c)(3) organization that provides commercialization support, pilot implementation, program management and technical advisory services for clean-energy, mobility, and building-decarbonization solutions. The organization works directly with public agencies, school districts, utilities, research labs and private partners to move technologies from pilot to scaled deployment. In the last 2–3 years ProspectSV has led or managed multiple state- and foundation-funded demonstration and deployment programs — including a CARB-funded Clean Mobility in Schools program, California Energy Commission demonstration projects in partnership with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and utility/market-access efforts — and continues active engagement with more than 60 startups and 100+ local government and institutional partners. ProspectSV’s leadership team is led by Founder and Executive Director Doug Davenport and a board composed of industry and civic leaders focused on urban decarbonization.

Notable achievements

Managed CARB-funded Clean Mobility in Schools program

ProspectSV managed a multi-million-dollar Clean Mobility in Schools initiative (2023–2025) that supports zero-emission school buses, charging infrastructure, on-site solar, workforce training and community engagement to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions in disadvantaged communities.

Technology demonstration with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab

Led a CEC-supported demonstration (launched November 2024) of low-cost smart home electrical panels paired with modular plug-in batteries for affordable multifamily housing, designed to enable electrification without costly service upgrades and to provide extended backup resilience.

Catalyzed substantial public/private investment and partnerships

Across its programs ProspectSV reports catalyzing hundreds of millions in public and private funding and has partnered with dozens of startups, utilities, research institutions and local governments to advance scalable decarbonization projects and procurement strategies.
