CATCHAFIRE FOUNDATION

Catchafire Foundation is a San Francisco–based 501(c)(3) public charity that provides nonprofits with access to Catchafire’s skills-based volunteering platform at no cost. The Foundation works through partnerships with foundations, corporate CSR programs, and community funders to sponsor platform access and cohort-based capacity-building for grantees. The Foundation typically contracts with Catchafire, Inc. to deliver the online platform and supporting services, enabling nonprofits to obtain pro bono professional help in areas such as strategy, marketing, technology, finance, and design. As reported in the organization’s public materials, the platform has facilitated more than 1.2 million volunteer hours and roughly $240M+ in nonprofit value created. In the last 2–3 years the Foundation has broadened partnerships with corporate and philanthropic funders, supported targeted cohorts and statewide programs, and continued to report measurable, platform-level impact through matches, volunteer hours, and value saved for nonprofit grantees.
