About INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR REFUGEES

International Association for Refugees (IAFR) is a Minneapolis-based Christian nonprofit founded in 2009 that partners with local and refugee churches to support forcibly displaced people worldwide. IAFR provides a mix of humanitarian services (shelter, food, water, and emergency response), longer-term recovery (scholarships, school building, small-business grants), and capacity-building (training, consulting, and church support). The organization operates ministry locations and projects across multiple countries (including work in Kenya, Malawi, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Slovakia and Ukraine) and maintains active church partnerships and missionary staff to deliver contextualized response and recovery. In recent years IAFR has published annual reports and IRS filings and reports having multiple active international projects, church partnerships, and sustained fundraising to support both emergency relief and development-style programs.
