About NICHI BEI FOUNDATION

The Nichi Bei Foundation operates a nonprofit community news organization and educational programs focused on the Japanese American experience. It publishes Nichi Bei News (formerly Nichi Bei Weekly), maintains an active website and runs community programming including Films of Remembrance, the Nikkei Angel Island Pilgrimage, and other cultural events. The foundation was formed from the legacy of the historic Nichi Bei Times and deliberately established a nonprofit model to preserve ethnic community journalism and cultural memory. Nikkei Angel Island Pilgrimage Impact
