About COMMERCE CITY HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Commerce City Historical Society (CCHS) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2009 that operates the Commerce City Heritage & Cultural Center and a local history museum to preserve and present the city’s history for residents, students and visitors.

In recent years CCHS has focused on community-facing programs (lectures, school partnerships, tours), museum exhibitions and a neighborhood preservation campaign centered on the historic Dottie Bakke House; the Society maintains an active events calendar and quarterly membership meetings.
