Wild Blue Cats! is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue and sanctuary dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, neglected, displaced and surrendered cats and kittens by providing medical care, sanctuary or lifetime foster care and by finding permanent homes whenever possible.
About Wild Blue Cats!
Wild Blue Cats! operates a cage‑free sanctuary and an extensive foster network in the Black Forest / northeast Colorado Springs area, combining communal indoor housing, outdoor “catios” and a large netted enclosure (Maya’s Wildheart Village) for shy/feral cats who cannot be safely returned to the outdoors.
The organization runs Trap‑Neuter‑Return (TNR) work, low‑cost spay/neuter and microchipping services, regular adoption events and targeted programs (including a Working Cats/barn cat placement program). Wild Blue Cats! describes itself as no‑kill and spays/neuters, vaccinates and microchips 100% of the cats it places when adoptable.
In recent years the group has expanded medical capacity (a donated mobile spay/neuter RV) and planned an on‑site surgery area to increase in‑house surgical care, while maintaining partnerships with regional animal welfare networks to maximize lifesaving outcomes.

High annual lifesaving impact (2023)
In 2023 Wild Blue Cats reported impacting roughly 1,330 animal lives, with 1,199 adoptions (about 90% of intake) and a very low euthanasia count, reflecting strong placement and medical programs.
Program growth and TNR scale (2024)
Expanded TNR and working‑cat placements in 2024 (TNR counts in the hundreds) and reported strong adoption and foster throughput that reduced local euthanasia pressure.
Increased medical capacity
Secured a donated mobile spay/neuter vehicle (named Meera’s M*A*S*H) and has been developing an on‑site surgery area to provide more in‑house surgical care and critical care for at‑risk cats.
