About One Colorado (One Colorado Education Fund)
One Colorado is the state’s leading LGBTQ+ advocacy organization operating both a 501(c)(3) education fund and affiliated civic arm. The organization works at the intersection of public policy, community education, and health equity to protect and expand rights for LGBTQ+ people across Colorado.
In the past 2–3 years One Colorado has led statewide civic engagement and education campaigns, partnered with health and government bodies on SOGI and access initiatives, and ran youth and transgender-support programming to strengthen local capacity and voter engagement.
Notable achievements
Led statewide campaign to protect marriage rights (2024)
Played a central role in the statewide campaign and civic outreach to enshrine same-sex marriage protections on the 2024 ballot and helped mobilize voters for the successful passage of the measure.
Blocked anti‑trans ballot efforts (2024)
Coordinated coalition and signature‑defeat strategies during 2024 signature drives and civic campaigns that contributed to preventing anti‑trans initiatives from qualifying for the ballot.
Expanded statewide education & organizing (2024–2025)
Completed a multi‑stop statewide education and organizing tour, increased field operations and GOTV activity, and strengthened partnerships with health and government bodies on SOGI and health equity work.
