About LEADERSHIP PREP SCHOOL

Leadership Prep School (LPS) is a tuition-free, open-enrollment public charter school based in Frisco, Texas, serving elementary through high school grades. LPS operates as a K–12 institution focused on leadership development, academic preparation, and career/CTE pathways and uses the Leader in Me framework to support student leadership and character development. In recent years LPS has expanded grade offerings and programming and reports strong community demand; filings and program documents for 2024–25 indicate roughly 1,300–1,400 students served K–12 and a multi-thousand-person waitlist across grade levels. The school offers Special Education, ESL, Gifted & Talented services, multiple CTE pathways, and maintains regular compliance and grant activity with the Texas Education Agency and related state programs.

LPS was established as a state-authorized open-enrollment public charter school in 2010 and has grown from an initial elementary campus to a K–12 program.
