About AL-MAAUUN

AL-MAAUUN (Al-Maa'uun) is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and recovery community organization that operates neighborhood-facing programs including recovery support, food assistance, housing support, employment services, mentorship, and community reintegration. The organization is volunteer-led and faith‑inspired and is housed in partnership with local mosque community resources in North Minneapolis. In recent years AL-MAAUUN has scaled program operations and institutional funding to expand Meals on Wheels and home-delivered food services, a diaper bank, peer recovery services and culturally-specific recovery programming. The organization files IRS Form 990s and is an active recipient of foundation and institutional grants to support direct services for residents of North Minneapolis and surrounding areas.
