About VALLEY HOUSING FUND
Valley Housing Fund (VHF) is a regional nonprofit created in 2010 to address housing affordability across the Gunnison Valley. VHF is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that provides private funding, convening, and advocacy to accelerate local affordable housing projects.
VHF focuses on funding and facilitating development partners, producing public education and outreach (including a 'Faces of Housing' story series), and operating resources such as a Housing Help Center to help residents, prospective residents, and employers navigate housing options.

Since 2010 VHF has contributed over $3.1 million in direct support to valley housing projects, helping unlock additional public and private financing.
Lazy K neighborhood support
Invested approximately $338,000 to leverage an additional $1.2M in public funds, enabling 44 deed-restricted homes and housing for roughly 132 people.
Anthracite Place contribution
Provided roughly $760,000 in grant/loan support for a LIHTC apartment building in Crested Butte, creating 30 income-restricted homes.
