About GUIBORD CENTER - RELIGION INSIDE OUT

The Guibord Center – Religion Inside Out is a California-based 501(c)(3) interfaith educational nonprofit founded in November 2010. The organization produces free public programs, lectures, concerts and immersive events that invite participants to experience the spirituality and core values of many faith traditions. The Center works across a wide range of faiths (including Baha’i, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Indigenous Spirituality, Islam, Judaism, Paganism, Sikhism, and Zoroastrianism) and runs initiatives focused on topics such as Animals, Faith, and Creation; Faith, Women, and Violence; Children, Youth and Young Adults; and Nonviolence. Leadership and advisory voices include founder Rev. Dr. Gwynne M. Guibord and an active Board (Dr. Lois M. “Lo” Sprague is listed as President on the organization’s board page).

Notable achievements

Established interfaith program series

Since its inaugural event in 2011, the Center has presented more than 100 free public programs (lectures, concerts, community events) that are filmed and made available to the public online, building sustained interfaith engagement in Los Angeles and beyond.

Launched community initiatives

Developed sustained initiatives addressing priority issues—Animals, Faith, and Creation; Faith, Women, and Violence; Children, Youth and Young Adults; and Nonviolence—bringing religious and spiritual perspectives to pressing civic and moral issues.

Hosted major interfaith gatherings and gala

In recent years the Center has convened high-profile interfaith events and an annual gala that honored interfaith leaders and announced a youth award recognizing interfaith leadership, drawing local religious leaders and several hundred attendees.
