About NOOR THEATRE

Noor Theatre, founded in 2010 and based in New York City, develops and produces plays and programs that amplify MENA/SWANA voices and counter negative stereotypes through nuanced storytelling. The company serves as a sustained, donor-facing arts organization that produces staged work, developmental readings, commissions, and community-facing events. In recent years Noor has continued a robust pipeline of new-work development (including its long-running Highlight Reading Series and a commissioning initiative), engaged in international collaborations and solidarity programming, and completed a leadership transition with the hiring of an Executive Director in 2023 to strengthen institutional operations and fundraising.
