About Pacific Survivor Center
Pacific Survivor Center (PSC) is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007/2008 that provides trauma-informed medical, psychiatric, forensic and case-coordination services to survivors of human trafficking, torture, immigrant domestic violence and related human-rights violations across the Hawaiʻi–Pacific region. PSC combines direct clinical services with training, research and prevention programming (including the STOPP sex-trafficking prevention curriculum) and has been a contracted healthcare provider for trafficking victims to state agencies since 2013. The organization maintains an active web presence, public Form 990 filings, and continuing partnerships with local providers, foundations and government grant programs.
Notable achievements
Development and statewide delivery of STOPP prevention curriculum
Designed and implemented the STOPP (Sex Trafficking Outreach and Prevention Program) curriculum for youth, educators and community agencies; the program is offered free to schools and partners, was adapted to virtual delivery during the COVID-19 period, and has been used in multiple trainings across the state.
Long-term State-contracted survivor healthcare
Serves as a designated clinical provider for victims of human trafficking and related abuses under state contracts since 2013; PSC provides medical forensic evaluations, trauma-informed medical and mental health care and coordinated referrals for survivors in Hawaiʻi.
Secured multi-year foundation and public funding
Sustained operations and program growth in recent years through a mix of government grants and foundation support, including confirmed/recurrent funding relationships with local foundations and state grant-in-aid awards to support STOPP, clinical services and mental-health programming in FY2024–FY2026.
