About TAMALES Y BICICLETAS

Tamales y Bicicletas is a Minneapolis-based, Latino-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit that combines bike education and repair, urban agriculture, cultural programming, and environmental justice organizing to strengthen immigrant and BIPOC communities. The organization runs hands-on programs—bike workshops, community bike tours, and urban farm projects—that center cultural knowledge and youth leadership.

In recent years Tamales y Bicicletas has continued programming while building organizational capacity: it has been a recipient of local foundation support (including awards from The Minneapolis Foundation’s Climate/Equity funding initiatives), it files annual Form 990 returns, and it operates an urban farm site the group has stewarded since 2017. The organization is actively fundraising to secure the land it farms and continues to host community workshops and food-production activities that directly serve local families and youth.
