Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals
Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals (NCFF) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 27-3391247) dedicated to improving the lives of feral and stray cats in Northern Colorado by reducing overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), medical care, and placement of adoptable animals.
About Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals
NCFF operates monthly TNR clinics to trap, spay/neuter, vaccinate, treat, and either return community cats to managed colonies or place adoptable cats and kittens into foster/adoption pipelines with partner rescues.
Founded in 2009 and formally recognized in 2011, NCFF focuses on serving rural and low-income areas of Northern Colorado and works with volunteers, local veterinarians, and partner organizations to lower shelter intake and improve community-cat welfare.
Notable achievements
Nearly 15,000 cats altered
Since founding, NCFF has spayed/neutered and vaccinated close to 15,000 community cats (reported milestone reached in 2024), substantially reducing local reproduction rates.

The organization has helped rehome several thousand stray cats and kittens via partner shelters and foster networks (organization-reported figure of ~3,500 adopted by late 2024).
Local shelter intake reduction
