About WOODS & WATER KIDS ADVENTURES INC

Woods & Water Kids Adventures Inc. (WWK) is a Conroe, Texas–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2012 that runs outdoor-skill programs designed to grow and strengthen bonds between fathers (and other adult mentors) and their children, and to provide outdoor opportunities for kids who otherwise lack consistent parental outdoor mentorship. WWK delivers hands-on programs including camping and backpacking trips, fishing outings, archery and firearms safety clinics, hunter-education activities, and school-assembly character presentations; many activities pair youth with adult mentors and local natural-resources professionals. In the last 2–3 years WWK has expanded its fundraising and program activity (including recurring sporting-clays fundraisers and regional camping/fishing events) and has received institutional support from community foundations and corporate charity programs to sustain and underwrite participation costs.

Founded and sustained outdoor mentorship programs

Since 2012 WWK has operated recurring father/mentor–child outdoor programs (camping, fishing, archery, hunter education and skills workshops) that emphasize character, safety, and stewardship.

Named beneficiary of regional corporate giving

Selected as a beneficiary of Calpine’s Texas charity program and awarded a six-figure-supported grant allocation (including a $25,000 Calpine Foundation award in the 2023/2024 cycle) to support programming and events.
