About REACHING UP

Reaching Up is an Eagan, Minnesota–based nonprofit that operates after-school academic enrichment and youth development programs in partnership with local schools and community organizations. The organization focuses on academic tutoring, literacy and math intervention, mentoring, enrichment activities, and basic needs support for students and their families. Reaching Up runs a regular Homework Help program during the school year and has expanded programming in recent years to include a Summer Enrichment program, field trips and community-service opportunities. Programs are delivered through volunteer tutors, staff, and partnerships with ISD 196 and local community partners to provide snacks, take-home meals for families, and additional supports that promote stability and learning.

Sustained Homework Help program

Operates a multi-day after-school Homework Help program partnering with local schools to provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring, mentoring, and supervised physical activity for elementary, middle and high-school students.

Expanded Summer Enrichment

In the last 2–3 years the organization expanded into a Summer Enrichment program to provide continued academic support and enrichment activities during summer months, including field trips and partnerships with local educational resources.

Major foundation support (2024)
