CONSERVATION COLORADO

Conservation Colorado is a statewide environmental advocacy organization that organizes, lobbies, and runs election programs to advance climate action, clean air and water, and public lands protections in Colorado. The organization describes itself as part of a family of entities that includes an education fund (a separate 501(c)(3)) and electoral/advocacy affiliates.

Conservation Colorado is structured as a 501(c)(4) civic‑league/social welfare organization (its donations are not tax-deductible); it conducts policy advocacy, coalition building, grassroots organizing, and candidate/election work to translate public support into law and policy.

In the last 2–3 years the organization focused heavily on state legislative and electoral work—winning major bills to reduce oil and gas pollution, restore water protections for wetlands and streams, secure historic state transit funding, expand environmental justice programs, and block multiple industry ballot measures that would have rolled back climate progress.
