About PRAYING PELICAN MISSIONS

Praying Pelican Missions (PPM) is a Minneapolis-based 501(c)(3) public charity that organizes short-term domestic and international mission trips and provides year-round support to local church partners. The organization’s work includes youth, college, adult, and school mission teams, long-term partnerships with local churches in more than 40 locations, and a continuous support program called PPM365.

PPM operates disaster-response and recovery programs that partner with local churches to deliver debris cleanup, rebuilding, food distribution, prayer ministry and other recovery services. The organization has been active for more than two decades (founded in 2003) and continues to publish regular trip journals and program updates documenting mission activity through 2024–2026.

PPM is led by a small executive team and a multi-member board; the group focuses on relationship-driven, church-centered projects and emphasizes local leadership, safety, and sustainable partnerships in every location it serves.

PPM365 — year-round church support

Launched and expanded PPM365, a continuous program that provides training, local staff support, pastor encouragement, and disaster-response readiness to partner churches throughout the year.

Regional expansion & scale

Expanded internationally (including Jamaica in 2007) and operates mission-trip programs in 40+ locations, positioning PPM as a major U.S. provider of mission trips to countries such as Belize and Jamaica.

Two decades of mission operations

More than 20 years leading short-term mission teams and supporting long-term church partnerships across domestic and international locations, with sustained program activity and volunteer deployments in recent years (2022–2026).
