About FORNEY ISD EDUCATION LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION INC

The Forney ISD Education Leadership Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2003 and formalized in 2004 to support teaching and learning within Forney Independent School District. It partners directly with Forney ISD to fund classroom innovation, student scholarships, and programs that expand college and career pathways for students.

The foundation operates an Innovative Grant Program for teachers, a Dual Credit Advantage Plus+ program for CTE/AP/dual-credit students, and periodic community initiatives. Recent activity includes launching and supporting community-facing programs (a Forney ISD Film Festival and STEAM summer camps in 2022) and a major Project Backpack initiative in 2023 that supplied backpacks and school supplies to over 1,500 Forney students.

The foundation is an active, donor-facing organization with a public website, regular fundraising and sponsor engagement, and annual Form 990 filings. It relies on individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners to underwrite grants, scholarships, and student support programs.
