About FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER ASSOCIATION INC

The Family Resource Center Association (FRCA) is a Colorado-based membership organization that supports a statewide network of community Family Resource Centers. FRCA provides training, data tools, evaluation expertise, advocacy, and practice supports to help centers deliver family-strengthening services. FRCA’s service model (the Family Pathways Framework and the Colorado Family Support Assessment 2.0) supports Center Services and a coordinated Family Development Services case-management approach; in recent years the network has documented measurable gains in economic stability, health, and protective factors for families served.

Notable achievements

Statewide network expansion

FRCA expanded its membership and reach in recent years, supporting roughly 30 member Family Resource Centers serving families in 46 of Colorado’s 64 counties and partnering with centers that together served nearly 10,000 individuals (7,476 families) in the 2023–2024 program year.

Documented family outcomes (2023–24)

Independent evaluation of member centers using the CFSA 2.0 showed significant improvements: substantial percentages of families moved out of crisis in areas such as housing, debt management, employment, food security, and mental health (for example, about 74% of families identified in crisis for mental health moved out of crisis by follow-up).

Development and dissemination of CFSA 2.0

FRCA developed and scaled the Colorado Family Support Assessment 2.0 (CFSA 2.0) as a shared measurement tool; the tool is used across FRCA member centers and has seen adoption beyond Colorado, increasing the organization’s ability to track outcomes and promote evidence-informed practice.
