About WINFREE ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL

Winfree Academy Charter Schools is a tuition-free public charter network serving primarily grades 9–12 with a flexible, individualized delivery model designed for learners who need non‑traditional pathways to complete a high school diploma. The schools emphasize mastery-based instruction, credit recovery, career and technical education (CTE), and dual‑credit opportunities to help students transition to college and careers. Winfree serves a high proportion of learners identified as at‑risk and offers wraparound supports (including pregnancy-related services, mental health/recovery supports and community referral programs) alongside academic programming. Operating in North Texas since 2000, Winfree maintains partnerships with local colleges and implements virtual and hybrid program options to expand access.
