About Western Union Foundation

Since 2001 the Foundation has partnered with NGOs, higher-education institutions and community organizations to expand access to scholarships, job skills training, and inclusion programs that help migrants, refugees and international students secure better economic outcomes.

Its current multi-year commitment, Prosperity Beyond Borders, focuses on workforce readiness and measurable wage gains; the Foundation also runs signature programs that include the Global Scholars scholarship program and a Fellowship for community-focused entrepreneurs.

The Foundation operates as a separate charitable entity supported by The Western Union Company, its employees, agents and business partners and publishes periodic impact reports summarizing recent outcomes and program investments.
