BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF THE GREATER TWIN CITIES

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities (doing business as Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities) is a long-established, donor-facing 501(c)(3) youth mentoring organization serving Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota and Washington counties from its Minneapolis headquarters. The agency creates and supports one-to-one and group mentoring relationships, school- and community-based programs, Free Arts programs, and college & future-readiness programming to help young people build relationships, confidence, and pathways to success. In recent years the organization has implemented a community-led strategic plan (launched in 2023), returned to growth in youth served following the pandemic, and expanded fundraising and partnership activity: it reports serving roughly 2,100–2,400 youth annually in its most recent impact summaries, completed a two-year LGBTQ+ Ally certification process, and has hosted major fundraising initiatives (including a record Federated Challenge weekend and annual Big Night Gala) to support program expansion. Leadership transitions and strengthened financial reserves in 2025–2026 position the agency for continued growth and deeper community partnerships.
