CAFE MOMENTUM

Café Momentum is a Dallas-based nonprofit restaurant and training program that provides justice-involved young people with a paid, curriculum-driven culinary internship, life-skills coaching, academic supports and job-placement assistance. The organization uses a fine-dining restaurant model as the primary training environment and pairs that with wraparound services through a Community Services Center and, where available, a Café Momentum Academy for academic progress. In recent years Café Momentum has expanded nationally — opening locations such as Pittsburgh (2023) and launching new sites and partner initiatives (including Atlanta and Denver leases) — while advancing a Dream Beyond flagship campaign in Dallas to increase training capacity and share the model. The organization emphasizes long-term outcomes through its Tiers of Success framework and a refined logic model to connect program activities to measurable progress for participating youth.
