About Cyber-Seniors

Cyber-Seniors is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit (founded August 2020) that delivers digital literacy and cybersecurity education to older adults using an intergenerational mentoring model: trained high school and college students and professional facilitators teach and support seniors in group classes, one-on-one sessions, and webinars. In the last 2–3 years Cyber-Seniors has expanded state and local partnerships and grant-funded programs—including work with LA Metro, California Department of Aging initiatives, and community partners—to deliver device training, transit-app instruction, cybersecurity lessons, and ongoing tech help to low-income and hard-to-reach older adults. The organization documents program impact through audited financial statements and program reports: recent activity includes multi-state digital literacy programming, a 2024 Digital Literacy final report with program-level participation metrics, volunteer-supported service hours, and several public grants to scale training and connected-community efforts.

Digital Divide Grant from California Public Utilities Commission

Awarded $49,931.51 as part of the CPUC Digital Divide Grant Program to launch a Connected Communities program in partnership with BridgeLA; project deliverables included progress reporting (first report due Dec 1, 2025) and a final completion report due June 1, 2026, to expand local digital literacy services.

Published a Digital Literacy final report (October 2024) documenting outreach to roughly 2,296 referrals and the direct service of about 1,606 referrals (a 68% success rate for completed interactions), demonstrating measurable uptake in enrollment and follow-through for local older adult referrals.
