About TEXAS RAMP PROJECT

Texas Ramp Project constructs safe, ADA-guideline wheelchair ramps at no cost for low-income older adults and people with disabilities across Texas. The organization operates through a statewide volunteer network and regional coordinators; referrals come from qualified third-party health care providers who verify financial need.

Since its founding in 2006 (with builds reported since 1985 on cumulative totals), TRP has expanded to serve hundreds of Texas counties and leverages volunteer crews and trained leaders to install ramps in a typical 4–5 hour build. Recent operations show strong program focus and financial transparency, with thousands of volunteers and audited financials supporting continued ramp construction and growth.
