About NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF SINGING INC
The National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) is a professional membership association founded in 1944 that supports voice teachers, students, and voice professionals worldwide. NATS delivers continuing education through biennial national conferences, workshops, competitions, the peer-reviewed Journal of Singing, and a large national student audition program. In recent years NATS has operated with a virtual executive office, continued its national conference and workshop programming (including the 58th National Conference in Knoxville in 2024 and the 59th planned for San Antonio in July 2026), and sustained national-level student and artist competitions, donor campaigns, and member services. The association reports several thousand members across multiple countries and maintains programs that serve both students and the teaching profession, including an intern program and alumni initiatives launched in 2025.
