About LIFE DEVELOPMENT GROUP INC

Life Development Group Inc is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit that provides no-cost workshops, webinars, consulting, and an equity accelerator focused on social equity entrepreneurs in the cannabis industry. The organization centers community reinvestment, business readiness, compliance training, and workforce development to increase equitable ownership and employment. Founded as a grassroots advocacy and education group, Life Development Group has supported applicant verification, regulatory navigation, and capacity-building for social equity applicants and small operators. In recent years it expanded its programming with a retail training/accelerator campus (Life Development University) and has been active in policy and community-level advocacy around Los Angeles social equity licensing.

Gorilla Rx — Black woman–owned dispensary launched

Supported the development and opening of Gorilla Rx, cited by the organization as a Black woman–owned social equity retail dispensary in Los Angeles that also serves as a real-world training and demonstration site for its retail accelerator and workforce programs.

Large-scale community training and applicant support

Delivered recurring free workshops and webinars on compliance, licensing, financial literacy and operations; the organization has publicly reported verifying hundreds of social equity applicants and training large cohorts of prospective operators and workers.

Life Development University / Equity Accelerator

Expanded its programming into a dedicated training campus and retail accelerator on Crenshaw Boulevard to provide hands-on, simulation-driven retail training, investor preparedness, and mentorship for Social Equity entrepreneurs.
