About UNITED METHODIST COMMUNITY HOUSE

United Methodist Community House (UMCH) is a long-established social services organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan, providing early childhood education, youth after-school programming, older adult services, and neighborhood food access. UMCH operates a licensed Child Development Center, multiple Grand Rapids Public Schools after‑school sites, an Older Adult Center with transportation and meal services, and the Fresh Market food access program. In the last few years UMCH has grown program capacity and partnerships — renewing NAEYC accreditation for its early childhood program, adding funded preschool slots through local collaborations, expanding non-emergency transportation and Fresh Market services, and pursuing a multi-million-dollar capital campaign to strengthen facilities and reach. UMCH files audited financial statements and recent IRS Form 990s and reports measured program outcomes for children, youth, and older adults.
