GRAND RAPIDS ART MUSEUM

Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) is a public art museum in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, that collects, preserves, and exhibits works from the Renaissance through contemporary practice, with particular strengths in European and American 19th- and 20th-century painting and sculpture. The museum's stated mission is "connecting people through art, creativity, and design," and it operates as a donor-facing 501(c)(3) cultural institution. In the last several years GRAM has presented a series of major touring and curated exhibitions (including prominent shows in 2023–2025) while also expanding its education and community programs. GRAM offers K–12 school experiences, museum-led learning initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations to increase access to the collection and exhibitions across West Michigan. GRAM is an accredited museum with an established governance and development program, active membership and planned giving opportunities, and ongoing public programming including lectures, family days, and participation in regional events and festivals.
