About SAINT MARYS FOUNDATION
Saint Marys Foundation is the philanthropic arm for Trinity Health Grand Rapids (Mercy Health Saint Mary’s), established in 1964 to raise private support for hospital programs, clinical services, community health initiatives and facility improvements. The foundation solicits and manages gifts, grants, and planned giving to fund local programs and capital needs for Trinity Health Grand Rapids and affiliated community health sites. In recent years the foundation has funded mobile screening services, clinical program expansions and community-focused grants that directly support patients and families in the Grand Rapids area. Saint Marys Foundation operates as an active 501(c)(3) public charity with multi‑million dollar annual revenues and grantmaking, and it routinely files IRS Form 990s and partners with Trinity Health Michigan on community health projects.
