About DEGAGE MINISTRIES
Dégagé Ministries is a long-established Grand Rapids nonprofit that provides emergency, empowerment, and engagement services to people experiencing homelessness and poverty. The organization operates a community center offering daily meals, hygiene and wellness services, identification assistance, case management, workforce development enterprises, and an overnight women’s shelter. Dégagé combines direct services (meals, showers, lockers, overnight shelter for women) with longer-term supports including ID services, transitional housing programs (Close to Home and Bridge to Home), and social-enterprise employment opportunities (Open Door Bakery and Thrift on Div).
