About PAWS WITH A CAUSE

Paws With A Cause (PAWS) is a national nonprofit headquartered in Wayland, Michigan that designs, raises, and custom-trains assistance and facility dogs to support people with disabilities. Founded in 1979, the organization places custom-trained working dogs to increase independence, safety, and quality of life for clients across the United States. PAWS operates a national training campus and puppy-raising network, serves clients in more than 20 states, and is accredited by Assistance Dogs International. In recent years PAWS completed a major renovation of its headquarters, expanded training programs (including a medical alert dog offering), and continues to provide its custom-trained dogs to qualified clients generally at no cost to the recipient.
