THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF WESTERN MICHIGAN INC

Ronald McDonald House Charities West Michigan operates a “home away from home” for families of children receiving medical and mental-health care in Grand Rapids. The organization offers private family rooms, shared kitchens and common spaces, meals, transportation help, and other practical supports so families can remain close while a child is hospitalized. In recent years RMHC West Michigan has expanded services to meet growing demand: the chapter reported adding eight rooms and broadening onsite family resources, hosted families from across Michigan and beyond, and logged thousands of occupied nights and substantial cost- and mileage-offsets for families in its 2024 reporting period. The organization is an active member of the RMHC network and continues regular fundraising and community partnership activity to sustain operations and growth.
