About EQUEST CENTER FOR THERAPEUTIC RIDING INC

Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Rockford, Michigan, founded in 1990. The organization operates a year-round therapeutic riding center on a 34–35 acre facility and provides equine-assisted programs tailored to people with a wide range of physical, developmental, cognitive and emotional needs.

Equest delivers a broad set of programs — including therapeutic riding, Horses for Heroes (veterans), vocational/job-skills training, Deaf & Hard of Hearing equine programming, adaptive carriage driving, sensory riding trails, literacy programs and seasonal day camps — and is a PATH International member center with a team of PATH-certified instructors and education specialists. In recent years Equest has reported serving over 200 individuals weekly and relies on a substantial volunteer corps to deliver programming and care for its herd.
