Northwest Food Pantry Coalition (public-facing as Northwest Food Pantry) is a volunteer-run, donor-supported 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving the northwest neighborhood of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Founded in 1990 by a coalition of local churches, the organization incorporated as the Northwest Food Pantry Coalition around 2010 and operates a client-choice pantry that allows families to select food that best meets their needs. The pantry focuses on emergency food assistance, partner coordination, and neighborhood-level hunger relief; it is overseen by a board of directors and sustained primarily by volunteers and community donations. The organization regularly partners with county and regional hunger-relief programs and remains an active distribution site for public food programs.
