MICHIGAN ASSOCIATION FOR PLAY THERAPY

MIAPT is the official Michigan state branch of the national Association for Play Therapy, organized to promote the principles and practice of play therapy and to support play therapy professionals across the state. The organization operates as a membership-focused professional association, providing continuing education, networking, and resources for clinicians, students, and allied professionals. In recent years MIAPT has remained active with regular workshops, regional trainings and an annual conference; its publicly filed FY2024 return reports program-service revenue as the primary source of income, reflecting a program-centered mission focused on training and education. MIAPT also connects Michigan practitioners to national credentialing and the Association for Play Therapy’s therapist directory and maintains an active events calendar and continuing-education offerings (including 2025–2026 workshops and conference programming).
