About Neurofibromatosis Michigan

Neurofibromatosis Michigan (also known as NF Michigan) is a state-focused, donor-facing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides education, emotional support, direct financial assistance, and research support to people and families affected by neurofibromatosis across Michigan. The organization operates longstanding programs including awareness and education, medical travel assistance, scholarships and personal grants, a family camp and networking events, and research grants; it has an active volunteer board and regular communications (monthly newsletters) to its community. In recent years (notably 2023–2026) NF Michigan has run dedicated research fundraising campaigns, partnered with clinical and research centers in Michigan, and continued recurring family-focused events (annual picnic, holiday party, local walks and fundraisers) to build community and raise funds for NF research and family support.
