CONDUCTIVE LEARNING CENTER OF NORTH AMERICA

The Conductive Learning Center of North America (CLC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) lab school based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that uses the conductive education model to serve children and young adults with cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other non-progressive motor disorders. CLC provides age-based core programming (preschool through young adult), supplemental services (virtual sessions, in-home and school consultations), and seasonal programs delivered by trained conductor-teachers. Founded in the late 1990s, CLC reports serving more than 1,000 students over its history and operates a scholarship program (Conductive Readiness) and free screening clinics to lower barriers to entry. In the past 2–3 years the organization has expanded virtual offerings, hosted community screening clinics, secured major community support for program and scholarship growth, and received external recognition from national partners and evaluators.
